DEMOLITIONS
Planning law prevents demolition in a Conservation Area without planning permission being in place for a replacement. This is to prevent sensitive areas being blighted by empty demolition sites.
The Society will also request that buildings within the Conservation Area should not be demolished without having strict time restrictions imposed within which the building must be replaced, and that permission is tied to the implementation of the approved scheme.
